"Where the Liverbirds look over the Greatest City in Britain"

Join us for a pleasant stroll through the celebrated streets and visit the locations, buildings and monuments that have made Liverpool famous throughout the world.

This is a light-hearted tour that introduces you to the key areas in Liverpool while being entertained with stories, information and anecdotes told by your guide.

There are photo opportunities galore throughout the tour and your guide will point out some of the best spots.

At the end of the tour you will have a good overview of Liverpool, its ancient and modern history as well as the best areas to go for, tourists, shopping, restaurants, bars, entertainment and night clubs.

This tour is about finding out what Liverpool has to offer as well as exploring some of its history along the route. We will touch on everything from the Beatles to ghost stories to famous people, grave robbers, local characters and interesting facts and tales.

You will see Liverpool’s two magnificent cathedrals, an early Victorian cemetery and walk the streets of the atmospheric and historic Georgian Quarter and see the Victorian Masonic Hall as well as learning about some of the famous people that lived in this area.

See where Paul McCartney and George Harrison went to school and find out about the little known Royal connection to Hope Street.

Find out the story behind Liverpool’s pyramid (yes, it’s not just Egypt that has pyramids) before heading into town and through the main shopping, dining and entertainment areas. We also pass the World Famous Cavern Club and Mathew Street.

Visit the place where Liverpool Castle was located and see the Georgian Town Hall build in 1754. If you’re thirsty we can visit a pub dating from 1726 and would have quenched the thirst of some of Liverpool’s historic figures before heading to the waterfront.

As we reach the Pier Head you will be able to learn a brief history of the famous buildings in this area and what was there before they were built. We will then head to the Albert Dock which has become the heart of tourism in the city. Here you can find a whole host of shops, bars, clubs, restaurants, souvenir shops as well as the famous Tate Gallery.

Our final stop will be right where it all began at Liverpool’s first or Old Dock and completing the full cycle this is also the most modern part of the city – the L1 Shopping Complex.
