"Can You Solve the Clues as they Lead You Across Liverpool to Find the Password that will Open Your Cryptex?"
Do you have a special day coming up? Do you like solving puzzles? Have you ever thought you could be as good a symbologist as Robert Langdon or a cryptologist good enough to solve the clues as you visit many of Liverpool’s iconic and historic places?
Could you open Da Vinci’s Cryptex without the acid destroying the contents?
If you enjoy “escape room” activities then you will enjoy this tour – it’s similar but you solve the clues outdoors.
This is a self guided tour that takes the participants around the main places of interest in Liverpool, solving clues as you go to reveal the next place you need visit in order to obtain the answer to the next clue.
The starting point is in Liverpool’s famous Hope Street where you will be met by our representative and handed your Cryptex, which is yours to keep at the end of the tour (quest). You will also be handed the first clue that will start you off on your adventure.
As you move round the city, record the answers to the clues. This will help you access the next clue as you progress and also help you solve the clue at the end to obtain the password to the cryptex.
By solving all of the clues correctly, this will enable you to open the Cryptex and reveal the contents. We can provide a small fun reward and you can take part in this with friends (up to four people recommended).
During your quest you will visit a cathedral, a Victorian cemetery and other famous Liverpool locations as you follow a commentary online that gives you interesting facts and information about all of the places.
If you have a special occasion coming up and would like to do something unusual we can also help with this. It could be an engagement and you want to “pop the question” in an unusual way – we will provide a message of your choice printed on quality laid paper. Similarly for birthdays or anniversaries, we will help you make the day extra special. You let us know what you would like and leave the rest to us.
It is possible to also include a gift voucher (or similar) inside the Cryptex if you wished to give a special gift or memorable prize.
NOTE: You will need a smart phone (at least one in your group) with access to the internet in order to take part in this quest and access the various clues. It is best to avoid Sundays as you need to enter a cathedral and there will be sunday services.
*** If you want to book this tour but don’t want to fix a date, we can post the Cryptex to you and you can start your quest any day you wish. Just select any future date when booking and let us know in the notes that you would like the cryptex posted to you. The quest can also be completed over several days – you do not have to complete it in one day.
